Roman Faces - Cicero I

I'm a Latinist, yeah, I'm a really big fan of ancient Rome, and I like the Roman busts. They look so lively (well, SOME of them). Sometimes I can imagine the faces of those historical people if they were alive. So I wanted to draw some of them.

This could be Marcus Tullius Cicero. I'm not too satisfied with that because he's got a quite evil look and I think Cicero is one of the good guys! Despite of that, you perhaps may recognize him.



Cicero is not only one of my most famous Latin authors, but I like him as an historical person as well. He's such an interesting man, moody, self-absorbed, witty, funny, idealistic, often desparated, but they had to kill him to make him shut up! Some historicans think that Cicero is a coward, but I don't think so. George R. R. Martin says that a man can be brave even when he's afraid - in fact, that that's the only moment he can be brave.

I hope I can do more of this.
